Wild Card Weekend Not So Wild Usually, this is one of the more difficult weeks to pick because of the uncertainty of the teams playing. Let's face it, there's a reason these teams didn't get a bye. However, when I looked at the matchups, it appeared as though the choices were clear-cut. Of course, that usually leads to me going 0-4. Picks appear in bold. Washington at Seattle (-3) The Redskins journey to the playoffs has been one of them most heart-lifting stories in sports this year. Unfortunately, I just can't see them getting by the 12th Man in Seattle. With all of those fans hopped up on lattes, as loud as they are, I see the Redskins making a lot of mistakes. In addition, Matt Hasselbeck is having a great, and pretty much unheralded, year. Jacksonville (-2) at Pittsburgh I kept hearing people say this week that "there's no way Jacksonville goes into Pittsburgh and beats them twice." Uhhhhh, yes there is, and with that running game, they'll do just that. I don't trust the Steelers' running game without Willie Parker and the defense's tackling has been awful over the last four games of the season. New York Giants (+3) at Tampa Bay In my opinion, Jon Gruden did an extremely poor job preparing his team for the playoffs. Since he chose to rest his players over the last two weeks, they've lost any momentum that they had. Furthermore, I think they were the worst team to make the playoffs in either conference. On the other hand, no team outside of Boston should be as confident as the Giants are after their inspiring performance against the Patriots. Personally, I would have set the line at New York by seven. Tennessee at San Diego (-8) This game will be over by halftime. As much as I like Jeff Fischer as a coach, he's simply going into this game without a loaded gun. Roydell Williams, their most consistent receiver (which isn't saying much) is out after breaking his ankle in practice on Wednesday; Albert Haynesworth is questionable and hasn't been nearly as dominant over the past few games; and Vince Young still doesn't look right. As for the Chargers, they're playing as good as they have all year. Norv Turner just hopes that it doesn't come down to Philip Rivers making a play.
