Responsible Gambling

Responsible Gambling

If gambling is causing you harm, help is available right now. Call or text the National Problem Gambling Helpline: 1-800-522-4700 (US, 24/7). See the full list of international resources below.

Crypto sports betting carries the same risks as any other form of gambling — and in some ways greater ones. Crypto transactions are instant and irreversible. There are no bank statements to trigger a family member’s concern. Deposits can be made at any hour with no friction. These features, designed for convenience, can accelerate problem gambling if you are not paying attention.

Doctor Football publishes betting content for educational and entertainment purposes. We do not encourage anyone to gamble beyond their means. This page exists to make sure every visitor knows where to get help — and knows the warning signs before they need it.

Are You Gambling Responsibly?

Ask yourself the following questions honestly:

  • Do you bet money you cannot afford to lose?
  • Do you chase losses — placing bigger bets to win back what you have lost?
  • Has gambling affected your sleep, work, or relationships?
  • Do you feel anxious, irritable, or depressed when you cannot bet?
  • Have you borrowed money or sold possessions to fund gambling?
  • Have you lied to family or friends about how much you bet?
  • Have you tried to stop gambling and been unable to?

If you answered yes to any of these, please read the resources below. You do not have to be in financial ruin to seek help. Early intervention is far more effective than waiting for a crisis.

Self-Exclusion Tools

Most licensed crypto sportsbooks offer built-in responsible gambling tools. Use them:

  • Deposit limits — cap how much you can deposit per day, week, or month.
  • Loss limits — cap how much you can lose in a given period.
  • Session time limits — receive a warning or automatic logout after a set time.
  • Reality checks — pop-up reminders showing how long you have been betting.
  • Cool-off periods — temporary breaks of 24 hours to 6 weeks.
  • Self-exclusion — close your account for a minimum of 6 months. This is permanent for the duration and cannot be reversed early.

  • Net Nanny — broad parental control software with gambling category blocking.

Our Commitment

Doctor Football only recommends platforms that hold a valid gaming licence and offer the responsible gambling tools listed above. Any platform that removes or limits access to self-exclusion tools is removed from our recommendations immediately.

If you have found gambling content on this site that you feel is irresponsible, misleading, or targeted at vulnerable audiences, please contact us. We review all complaints within 48 hours.
